Symptoms

The issue has to do with Cascading controls from State to County dropdown. The control works well when selecting a State, the county dropdown prefills from SmartObject correctly. The issue comes in when selecting a State and County from another View (member selection). In that scenario, the State dropdown works correctly and State is prefilled. The County dropdown populates but, I can't get the County selected from the prior view to fill in the Dropdown selection, as selected.

 

Diagnoses

Need to add a rule.
 

Resolution

Customer was able to resolve the issue by setting the rule, it reloaded the County dropdown list in the rules after selecting the State/County in the subform. By doing it early, instead of in the returning View, it resolved the keeping the selected County in the selection.
