Cannot Switch off SmartBox Flag on SmartObject Properties
 

Diagnoses

A SmartObject was created as a POC and for this purpose SmartBox was used. A view was generated on top of this SmartObject.

The SmartObject and View then became part of the solution so we re-mapped the methods (CRUDL) to bind to service objects exposed on top of a table in the application data-base and renamed it.

We then tested each of the methods on the SmartObject and confirmed that the data was inserted into the new table in the separate database and no longer in SmartBox. The View also worked as expected.

The SmartObject works as expected however and the View that it is bound too functions as expected.

 

Resolution

TFS item has been logged.

Workaround to uncheck the smartbox flag:

Save the smartobject from the smartobject tester tool and open it in a new project in K2 Studio, then edit the properties to uncheck the smarbox flag, then deploy.
