Symptoms

When trying to open a K2 project from K2Studio client tool, I am getting the following error message: 'Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation'
 

Diagnoses

K2 Studio was trying to establish a connection to the server. When clicking Object browser, the environment showed 'connecting..' Connection was not coming through when performing Telnet command from client machine to K2 server on either port 5555 or 5252. This suggested a firewall issue or port blocking between the client machine and the server.
 

Resolution

Issue resolved after fixing firewall issue. http://help.k2.com/kb001318
