Hi Guys

Has anyone seen this issue where workflows that were working before and they would normally fire request approval task to managers depending on the user. There is different workflow which gets the user and write it in a person field in the list and the main workflow uses that person field to send the approval.

We did an upgrade to a latest version of Nintex this weekend and also installed Hawkeye for the first time. Now all my workflows for this specific sites runs okay until they have to assign a task to a person and they throw the following error

"Error in request approval action. Cannot get the full name or e-mail address of user "c:0+.c|ad|s-1-5-21-253889961-874910234-3503254501-15666".

What's confusing is all other sites are working, this issue is in just 1 site collection. Has anyone see this?

Thanking you in advance.

Hi Bhuti,

Did you check the person field, does the second workflow filling the person email or name properly.

Hi Sojan

It fills the name property not the email. I think I might figure out something, in the cc box I have a distribution list which gets copied I think the problem might be there but am still troubleshooting. If that's the case though why did it stop now, it's been copying that dist list for years why would it fail now?

Anyway will keep you posted.

I used to get this kind of error string when nintex is unable to resolve the name in the sender list. It happened mainly with group inbox email id's.

Hi There

It turns out that after the upgrade Nintex Workflow does not allow us to copy a distribution list anymore like it used to. Anyone from Nintex have an idea why this change Vadim Tabakman Dan Stoll Any takers?

So basically in the action Request Approval you have an option to copy the approval email to someone else. In this case my workflow has always been copying the approval email to a distribution list. After the upgrade this started to throw the error reported here and it took us a while to figure out why is the error thrown. As soon as we edited the workflow and removed the email address in the cc box of the workflow, all was well. So this issue has been resolved but I would like to know if there has been a change in a way that Nintex deals with these emails in the new version?

Thank you
