Symptoms
The identifier drop down list is not populated in K2 studio.
Diagnoses
when trying to create reference using SMO which point to SQL View we cannot select Identifier from the drop down field list
Resolution
This issue is identified as a UI bug, it happens if you have windows server 2012 R2.
Workaround :
- Add special character in the Reference field
- Click on the next button to force the wizard to give a error
An exception occurred. Exception:The following invalid characters were found in the reference name: ' '
The following characters may not be used: and!@_$%^and*() =)]',./{}|":<>? then click ok and then
you will be able to select the Identifier.
