Symptoms

The problem happened after the server upgraded to 4.6.11 was rolled back to 4.6.7
The user rolled back his workstation K2 Studio from 4.6.11 to 4.6.7
He can no longer access the "Smart Form Server" folder on K2 Studio.
When he clicked on the "SmartForms Server(s)" folder, the K2 Studio will display an hour glass and timeout.
This happened to multiple machines in our group.


 

Diagnoses

This usually means some components with 4.6.11 got installed and were not removed. programs and Features should point to any indication of existing components.
 

Resolution

After checking Program and Features in Control Panel, we noticed that K2 SmarForms 4.6.11 Process wizards and Setup Manager components where still installed. After using the Installation Package for 4.6.11 to remove the components, we did the same for 4.6.7. Once there were no SmartForms components we re installed SmartForms 1.0.6. After doing this, everything worked as expected.
