Hello all,

I have a rookie question.  Can I add some of the fields that appear in my "Assign a task" form to the task list?

I am interested in adding fields such as "due date", "Assigned by", Document title (from the doc library it is associated with).  To make it easier for the user to sort through in the task list.

It depends on the type of task you are using, Flexi task/Collect Data, etc... 

For example in assign To Do Task you can select or Create a Content Type.

1. Create Workflow

2. Add New Content Type in Task configuration

3. Publish Workflow so Content Type is created

4. in Site Settings-> Manage ContentTypes find your content type and add the Columns you want

NB - Adding the columns in the task list will not link them to the Parent Content Type! you must do this in the Parent Content Type

5. open your Wokflow and you can now select the added columns and assign values to them.

Highlighted in yellow are my custom columns, you'll select them from the Field drop down in order to assign values.

Hi Chantel,

I am using Nintex in the online environment, not on premises.  I do not see any options to create a new content type in the Assign a task action.  Do I need to create this new content type in SharePoint site settings first?
