Can the k2 workflow operate without the domain user?

Hi All! This post is my first post in this forums. I have a question to ask.

Can the K2 workflow operate without the domain user? User do not allow to connect the domain controller for the security issue.

What is other authentication method to be used? Or Is it allow k2 workflow can get the authentication through the Asp membership provider?

If it is possible, would you mind to provide some related articles?

Yes it is possible with SQL User Manager (SQLUM)

However, do you have any others ideas for that? It is because i want to plan many possible methods to implement the workflow.

Out of the box, Active Directory and SQL are included. Additional user managers like LDAP and Custom can be added post-installation.
