Hi,

Below is a simple workflow where I upload a document and an approval is requested. Once the approver approves, the content controls inside the document need to be updated by Managers Display name. It doesn't do that. I keep getting an error " One or more fields require a different type of information." Not sure what is going on here.

I am only trying to update a content control not the fields in the library. Please help. I have been struggling with this issue for a long time and tried several things ..nothing really helped.

Could you show us the configuration of your action?

What type of field is?

Have you used it previously and worked fine?

Have you tried to update other type field?

Is your document library based on the template for the document you're trying to update? I had issues with content controls when it was. Then I dropped a copy of the document in another library and it worked fine.

‌ Did you ever figure this out? It seems that maybe you're trying to put data into an field of incorrect type. Like string data in a date/time field.
