Can a managed metadata field be used as a list lookup filter?

Hi all,

I'm trying to use the filter functionality of the List Lookup Control

I've created a Nintex form that has:

1. Business Unit (Managed Metadata column)

2. Objective (Lookup to another list called Objectives)

On the Objectives List, I have a column called Business Unit(s) (managed metadata) where users can enter one or more business units that an objective pertains to.

So on my form, when a user selects a business unit, I want the Objective drop down to filter out only the records that contain the business unit.  Does this filter functionality work using managed metadata fields?

I know that if my Business Unit was a text field and the Business Unit(s) field on my lookup list was a multi-choice field this works.   But I need to get this working using managed metadata fields.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Troy

Hi Troy Lyon

No, unfortunately a managed metadata column cannot be used to filter a list lookup control

Thanks for the response Paul!  Yes, in investigating further I found it can't be done :-(.

Cheers,

Did ANYONE come up with a work-around for this issue?
