Symptoms
When attempting to configure a K2 workflow utilizing an AD security group, the option to add groups to a User Task event can't be found.
Diagnoses
There is the availability to assign tasks to groups in K2 Appit for SharePoint using the Search function of the Create Groups - Participants wizard.
Resolution
To apply groups to a user task, do the following:
1. Create a new workflow or access an already configured workflow.
2. Drag and drop a new event, or edit the User Task event on the workflow.
3. Access the Create Groups - Participants section of the User Task event configuration.
4. On the right side of the wizard, make sure that the 'Search' tab is selected.
5. On the Search bar find the 'Users' button next to the Search text bar.
6. Change the search from 'People' to 'Groups'.
7. Search for the group that will receive the user task.
8. Finish the configuration wizard.
9. Deploy the workflow.
After the workflow has been deployed, users for the configured group should receive task items in their Worklist for the list / library.
