No issues that I know of, I recall doing the SP2 patches both before and after the K2 blackpearl installation.
However, if you are dealing with a live environment, it would always be a good idea to do a full backup in case there are any mishaps.
Yes, agree with what Jonny said, doing backup before installing SQL 2005 SP3 (or any kind of update) is always the best pratice.
In my working enviornment, SQL 2005 SP3 is running without any problem.
