Symptoms

The following error message appears when trying to appify a list: "An unexpected error occurred while attempting to execute a server-side operation.
/12031] error (error)" 

 

Diagnoses

The error message seems to arise from an interrupted AJAX call on the Smartforms page itself which is used to appify the list, or display the K2 artifacts for a list or library. This can be caused by a temporary dip or drop in network connectivity, or even attempting to navigate away from a page while attempting to appify a list or library.
 

Resolution

There is no fix for this error as it is related to Ajax call interruption. However, the following feature request has been logged for better error handling when items like this do occur:
