I have a process that is started by a SharePoint document library "Item Updated" event. Users have entered ampersand (&) and less than (<) characters into the fields. When the list item is updated then the process fails with three error messages (all containing the same folio id) "Initialize Fields. An error occured while parsing EntityName. Line 1, Position 406."

Any ideas? Please don't respond with "encode the ampersand and less than characters" :-)

I am really not comfortable with the idea of injecting a proxy between the event receiver and the K2 web service call.
