How to allow non-admin user to manage the worklist?

Diagnoses

By default only Administrator can administer the worklist option, and it may be necessary to have non-admin user manage the worklist.

Resolution

Only administrators can see the Management worklist, but you can configure workspace so that Managers can see their subordinates' worklists which allows them to redirect and delegate as necessary. To configure this, firstly you need to ensure that you have Active Directory setup so that each person has recorded who their manager is. If you look at a user in Active Directory you can see who their manager is and the people who report to them in the Organization Tab of the Users Properties. Once you have such Active Directory setup please follow these configuration steps:

1. Go to the Management Console and right click on the Workflow Server, then click on Edit Settings.

2. In the tab bar click on Advanced Settings tab.
3. Check the "Display Worklist of Managed Users" option.

This will give managers the ability to see the worklist of their subordinates.
