Hi!
Have a quick question here. what are the differences between allocated, open, and available statuses? These are project statuses.

Hi,
Process instances do not have the statuses you ve mentioned, these are only applicable to Worklist items. I ll try to make the statuses listed clearer for Worklist items.
Lets say you have a client event in your process that have 5 employees specified as destination users, but the business rule specifies you only need two approvals. To make sure you don t have more people than required (need 2 approvals remember) working on the same item, we set the activity to have only 2 destination slots. If this concept is not clear, please see the help file for more info.
Now what happens in K2, is it will create a Worklist item for the 5 destination users, with all the statuses being Available . If User A opens the item, the status will change to Open for his Worklist item, but since there is still one slot available, the other 4 Worklist items will still be Available .
Now, if User C opens his item, the status will change to Open again for this item, but since all the destination slots are occupied, the other 3 Worklist items created will change to Allocated , meaning all the slots allowed are used and other users will not be allowed to open the item.
By default, a user s Worklist only shows items with status Available or Open . This means a cleaner and shorter Worklist not showing items that users cannot work on anyways.
