Symptoms

After upgrade errors when building package: "View is referencing the '' property on the '' SmartObject that could not be found."
 

Diagnoses

After upgrading from 4.6.8 to 4.6.11, when trying to package a project you get the following error:


'Orch.Contact Combined Edit View' View is referencing the 'EC_ContactMethod_ID' property on the 'Orch_ECommerce_ContactMethods' SmartObject that could not be found.

In the following rules:

View executed Initiliaze - Execute Read by Parameters.
When toolbar button is clicked - Execute read by parameters.

Also within a form you get similar errors stating:

properties that could not be found accross other views/smart objects but these SmartObjects have never contained those properties.


 

Resolution

It would be best to rebuild the rules within the form as they are most likely broken. Also do a reboot of the server as well.
