Which product are you referring to?  If Automation On Premise/K2 Five or K2 Cloud, you can delegate the task to the additional approvers when it is in flight.

there are a number of options, it would be best to understand your use case and how these people should be introduced into the task, with that I should be able to advise the best approach.

At the present time there is no way to add approvers for an in flight task.  The only option for inflight tasks are for delegation to another person.
