I have an approval process workflow on a library where there will be times the task will be delegated to users. These users have Edit permissions to the site and however when the the user clicks on the task they get an access denied error with "you are not authorized to respond to this task" message.
We are on SP 2013
Typically this is due to their permissions on the workflow task list, and not to the site alone. Also, if there were permissions changes made within the workflow, this can be come up, especially if the advanced changes were made in the configuration of the flexi task. I have also seen this come up when a workflow was applied to the task list forcing a lock on the item and it was not fully available to the user.
Also, how is the delegation made? There are several ways to do so, I'm just curious.
