I've done a quick search through the documentation and on the internet and I cannot find anything that specifically states what the 4.7 Client Tools work with.
Are the 4.7 Client Tools backwards compatible to any previous versions of the Server Software? 4.6.11? 4.6.10?
If so, where does the compatibility end?

With K2 the client tools directly correspond to the server version and its important to keep them in sync. You would not want to use 4.7 Client software (K2 Studio and K2 for Visual Studio) with an older version of the K2 Server software (ie 4.6.11). Doing so would likely run into version conflicts when deploying.
