Nintex Forms: jQuery Slider

Jump to solution

Dear Nintex Community,

apparently Nintex Forms includes jQuery as part of its deployment.

But something is strange about this version: I cannot use the slider https://jqueryui.com/slider/

I just get following error: jquery Object doesn't support property or method 'slider'

Any hints?

Cheers,

Thomas

Hello,

Did you try including the JQuery UI library separately and referencing that in your code?

Thanks,

Mike

yeah thank you, that got me on the right track.

with this article i found out how to link the js and css files: http://www.sharepointpub.com/jquery-ui-tabs-and-nintex-forms/

and just used those in the article i linked before - works like a charm now, final code btw, for anyone interested:

NWF$(document).ready(function() {

    var select = $( "#"+dropDownSlider );

    select.width("100px");

    select.css("float","left");

     var slider = $( "<div id='slider'></div>" ).insertAfter( select ).slider({

min: 1, max: 4,      range: "min",

      value: select[ 0 ].selectedIndex + 1,

      slide: function( event, ui ) {

        select[ 0 ].selectedIndex = ui.value - 1;

      }

    });

    slider.css("float","left");

    slider.css("margin-left","50px");

    slider.width("300px");

     $( "#"+dropDownSlider ).change(function() {

      slider.slider( "value", this.selectedIndex + 1 );

    });

  });

--> dropDownSlider is the client id name of a choice columns with a few values in dropdown-mode, max must be set to the number of elements in that field.
