I hope someone can help me.
I am using SharePoint 2010 with Nintex Workflow 2010 v188.8.131.52.
I have created a Custom Action on a list that executes a Nintex workflow. This is working perfectly...however...I would like to skip the workflow initiator form that shows the 'start' (and 'cancel') button.
Am I able to bypass the initiator form and if so, how do I do it?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I should do the following:
-Add a new column to your list/library named "Starter"
-Set your workflow to start when an item is changed, with a condition that evaluates "if Starter=1"
-In your Custom Action set the "Starter" column to 1
Many thanks for your post.
Without sounding stupid, how do I do that?
The "Custom Action" only allows you to...
- Navigate to a form
- Initiate a workflow
- Navigate to a URL
...there is no option to change a column value (that will then initiate the workflow)...but I like the idea!
Sorry, you are not sounding stupid. I misunderstood "Custom Action". I assumed you built a Sharepoint Custom Action, but it seems you refer to a Nintex Custom action.
Discard my answer.
Anyway I'll keep thinking on an answer for you
Try the following:
-Goto Workflow Options
-Set FormType : Custom
-Set Start Page: Leave this field empty
-Publish your workflow
Test your custom action
Just another option/path to take if needed.
