How do I create a recurring 2 weekend reminder in my workflow in SP 2013?

I'm trying to create a workflow that needs a recurring reminder every 2 weeks for projects.

To avoid having workflows that are paused for long periods of time, one of the simplest things is to use a scheduled workflow. When you have a fixed interval (like 2 weeks), the scheduled workflow simply fires each day, checks against a known time (like a created/modified date) and if it matches that date plus the interval it sends off the reminder email.

There are a coupe of simple methods for doing this:

  1. Use a scheduled site workflow. These work good, they just don't have as much flexibility as a list workflow.
  2. Create a list specifically for workflows. We call ours "WF Scheduler". It can have all the columns you might want for tracking, etc. Each workflow can be either scheduled or manual, and you can visualize their processing and results using various columns you create. Like a site workflow these will be limited to tracking processes (like reminders) for objects on a given site.
