I know there is a simple solution to this and I feel dumb asking but is there a way to mask the worklistiem so that it doesnt show up in the task email as a long ugly url? By mask I mean change the url to "Link" or "Click here" or something more tidy looking.

I use the Hyperlink inline function under the Text category for exactly the same reason. Just remember to set your email notification to HTML format.
