Likely will open a support ticket for this, but always like to bounce off the community...

In the past 24-48 hours workflow notifications and error messages are no longer being received, globally. We have found so far that due to some network issues we're not able to telnet to "telnet SMTP1" from SharePoint PROD web servers but we are able to telnet to "telnet SMTP2". We are now able to send alerts/emails after changing the outbound SMTP server to "smtp2.dsglobal.org" within SharePoint, but Nintex notifications are still not working.

Wondering if Nintex is still looking at SMTP1, and how to change to SMTP2, if needed.

Any insight is appreciated.

Thanks!

Eric

So, we figured out the Nintex notifications issue--Nintex has its own email routing settings that we just needed to update in addition to the SharePoint routing setting. We did this, and we're now getting notifications again. Also, it did NOT require an IIS reset.

We know the main issue is something with our data center networking, so from a Nintex standpoint we've resolved the issue.
