Network Error (dns_server_failure)

Hi all,

 

I am getting the following error when trying to configure the K2 for SharePoint App after deploying it to a SharePoint Site Collection.

 

Network Error: (dns_server_failure)

The request could not be processed because an error occurred contacting the DNS server.

 

This is in a development environment which does not have DNS entries for K2. Is it possible to configure this without using DNS?

I have tried using host entries with no luck.

 

Do you know is this possible without configuring DNS entries.

Hello Sam,


 


I believe that you will have to set up DNS entries for K2 in order to have it function properly.

From that Documentation:


 


"It is important to have the DNS lookup zones configured before installing K2 blackpearl. During the configuration of the K2 components, connections will be made to the various server roles to ensure that the components can talk to each other appropriately. If the DNS settings are incorrect, your K2 environment will not function correctly."
