I have a Request Review action running inside of a State Machine loop.
We have run into a couple of instances where an approver is out of the office and the workflow is getting held up due to them not being able review the document.
Is it possible for the workflow initiator to recall the last reviewer or reassign this task? I cannot find anything that would allow this.
initiator (usually) not, but for already existing tasks assignees and site admins can delegate task to another user.
for new tasks, each user should be able to configure long term delegation, so that all the tasks assigned to him/her are automatically delegated to designated deputy.
other option might be to update workflow and use different task action (eg. flexi task) that provides an option to define escalation process - if task is not responded with a given time frame, the task is delegated to another user.
