Does K2.NET workflow engine's APIs are exposed via Web services. Suppose if we wanna build our own custom user interface and access the process and activities via web services, is it possible in K2.NET?

There are two default web services installed along with K2 - the Reporting Web service (which is effectively the information you can get from the workspace reports) and the worklist web service which will return worklist items.
You can use the K2ROM to create your own web service if you want to make use of the functionality provided by the K2ROM (for example, to start process instances).
