New workflow instances not showing up in out of the box SmartObjects

Symptoms

 

 

 

After starting a new process instance, the data in the 'Process Instance', 'Activity Instance' and 'Activity Instance Destination' smartobjects are not getting updated even though we can see that the process is active.

 

 

 

Diagnoses

 


The user did not have view permissions on the process

 

 

 

Resolution 

After granting the user "View" permission he was able to see the data in the reports.
