RPA Central - backup of botflows

Jump to solution

We just upgraded to RPA Central and we used to keep backup versions of Foxtrot scripts in a network location. Now that we're on RPA Central any user with Admin access can delete a botflow.  If a botflow is deleted, is there a location we can go to retrieve it?

How should we create backups of our botflow scripts?

In RPA Central, botflows are stored in SQL database.  You can use many different SQL backup options as listed here.

I ended up exporting the botflow and saving to a network locations. If we ever need to restore, we can import the file from the network location.

Hello RPA Forum,

We backup our botflows the same way.  Can you provide best practices or expectations when importing a botflow for DR purposes.  We had to import a large botflow and found many items needed to be updated like anything using a stored credential.  This is not an issue but would be nice to have a documented list of changes that should be expected or process to follow to full recover a botflow to operation.
