Greetings,

All of the documentation on this wizard references SharePoint 2007. I have a couple of questions.

  1. Can it be used with SharePoint 2010?
  2. Do I have to create the every "router" entry in the Environment library?
  3. Can it be used for non-records (simply using the content organizer in SP 2010 to move documents to their proper place)?

Anyone using this wizard? Comments?

1. Yes you can use the Records Management wizard with 2010

2. No the wizard itself has a field where you enter in the destination records center.

3. I do not believe so, it does not appear that there is place to specify anything other than a records center, but i have not tested using a content organizer

To clarify,

The Records Management Wizard does not work with sites that don't use the Records Management site template.

I tried using the full URL <site path>/_vti_bin/OfficialFile.asmx but the wizard did not like it. When I just left the Site path, it asked for design time values and then errored indicating that the site template is invalid.

I guess I'm just going to copy the file to the drop off library, although I would have liked to go straight there.
