Migrating Smartform based solutions to a new K2 server

We intend to migrate all our smartform based solutions to a new K2 server. We are having many active requests on the old K2 server. We also want to migrate these active requests to the new server.


We have installed a new K2 server. This new K2 server is pointing to the old K2 database. We have also setup the smartform application on the new K2 server machine. We are setting the plan server as the new server. However when we are trying to open the client page for an active request placed on the old K2 server from the new K2 server (using the url for e.g: http://newserver/clientpage.aspx?Allocate=false&sn=OLDK2SERVER,xxxx,xxx)  we are getting an error "Unable to open worklist: Invalid archive type"


Can someone help me if it is possible to migrate smartform based K2 solutions with active request from one server to another server? Will the active requests be functional in such scenarios? It would great is someone can help me on this.

What kind of environment are you in?  Is Workspace installed on the same server as K2 Server (called a ‘Simple Install’)?  If so, is K2.net Workspace working normally?

I was actually able to migrate the active smartform requests from one K2 server to a new K2 server. However I am facing difficulties with the InfoPath based active requests. Can you provide me guidance or any references on migrating active requests for InfoPath based solutions?
