Hi,

Right now i am using production AD Service(Domain A and Domain B) in my Dev and UAT Environment (K2 4.7). Now i am having UAT AD (Domain C) and i want to use this UAT AD Service instead of production AD.

The Service account which i used for installation/setup is of Domain A.

I understand that i will have to update the user account for all services which are running on current service account.

also need to update the AD Service configuration in Tester and LDAP configuration in K2 workspace.

but do i need to run the configuration again after changing the domain?

can someone please guide me for this migration.

Thanks in Advance.

Rgds,

Hemant

I will recommend you get in touch with your K2 account manager, and check if it is possible to engage K2 Professional Services for assistance. The steps involved may be more complicated then you will expect. If you are unsure, definitely engage the consultants to help you assess your environment to determine the possible impact, on how to go about reconfiguring your K2.

Hi Hemant,

To add to this thread.

If you are going to change the ServiceAcocunt from domainAK2Service to domainCK2Service - then i would suggest to rerun the configuration.

If your ServiceAccount will stay on Domain-A, and your userbase will be on Domain-C, then you will not have to rerun your configuration, you will just need to follow the Multiple Domain documentation, and also make sure that domainAK2Service has enough rights in Domain-C to read users.

Multiple Domain Documentation: http://help.k2.com/onlinehelp/k2blackpearl/icg/4.7/default.htm#Configure/Add_Multi_AD_Domains.htm

Hi Hemant,

If you intend to move the k2 service account to domainC (domainCK2service), then I would highly recommend talking to our Remote service team regarding this inquiry. You would need to have the K2 Workspace and K2 Service accounts in the trusted domain (domainC).

As JeanSmit mentioned, I would go through the previous documenation link on multiple domains and this KB (https://help.k2.com/kb000182). In certain scenarios when you can only have one-way trust between two forests, you will need to use the following KB (https://help.k2.com/kb000198) to configure the EventBus message queues.
