SmartObject is not generating when we add new column

Symptoms


When new list column is added to the existing list and trying to regenerate a SmartObject. We are getting below error.

Thread 1: Service returned a property in the resultset that is not on the ServiceObject: Service: 'site_sharepoint_com___sites___appit' ServiceObject: 'Management_K2Application' Property: 'FieldInternalName'
 

Diagnoses


This issue is being caused by the Service Instance within the Appit environment not refreshing correctly.
 

Resolution

Go to the App Catalog in the SharePoint site and open the K2 Appit for SharePoint application. From there, under the Administration section, run the Registration Wizard. This will reinitialize the basic SharePoint brokers for K2. After that, go to the site where there is the issue and go to the K2 Appit for SharePoint application there. Under the Administration section here, you will see the option to Activate Site Collection. Run this, as it will reconfigure the Service Instance for the site, which will fix any missing references.
