If you want to have RPA Send an email with multiple items attached, follow the set up below. First, use this help document to set up credentials and email:

Instructions

If you know the number of files and the names of the files:

  • Use the Send Email action and click the file folder in the Attachments section.
  • Choose the file you want to send.

**The part below is manual since RPA does not have a select multiple items option

  • Add a comma and a space after the file path in Attachments.
  • Copy and paste file path again but change the file name to the second file name.
  • Repeat for all files.

Additional Information

If you do not know the number of files each time or the names of the files the easiest way is to create a zip file if they are in the same location and attach it to the email:

  • Use Zip action to zip the files.
  • Use Create List action so RPA can account for all files in the folder. The number of files or the name of them will not matter.
  • Within a Loop, you can use Move action to move the original files to a new folder so they are not there the next time you run the botflow. This way only new files will be in the folder.
  • Use the Send Email action to send the email. Use the Attachment box to point to the new zipped file.
  • Use Delete File action to delete the zip file created at the beginning. You can change the rules to have it go to the recycle bin but default is that once it is deleted it is gone for good.
