file uploads using ios 8 problems?

I have started to get reports from users that have updated to IOS 8 that the file upload field renderer stops working before any file can be selected (just after choosing camera och library). I’ve found some bug reports on the first IOS 8 versions and Safari doing file uploads from the browser. So I have asked the users to make sure they are on IOS 8.0.2 and try both Safari and Chrome. No feedback from them yet but I wanted to check if there are any known problems in this area. Will update on of our devices later today to do some testing.

Clone record without using Clone button...

I have a model that, when a new row is added, sets 2 default values through the model Actions.  I also need to be able to duplicate a record in the model, but I can’t use the “clone” button option because I need to do multiple things in the process.  I have a button that changes a value in the current record (deactivate), and then runs a custom snippet to add a new row and use the values from the pre-existing row (see code below).  The problem I’m seeing is that the 2 default values established in the model Actions seem to override the JS and the values I need.  Can the code below (I got it from an older post) be modified to override the defaults?  Are there other options I’m missing?var params = arguments[0],    row = params.item.row,    model = params.model,    $ = skuid.$;var newRow = model.createRow();if (row) {    $.each(row,function(fieldId,val) {        if ((fieldId != ‘attributes’) && (val != null) && (fieldId != ‘Id’)) {        var modelField = model.getField(f

Black Magic with Page Include in Popup?

I have a page include that renders a simple Skuid page (with a single field editor) in a tab in a popup. It renders as expected, but it moves the popup downwards, then does magical things to the other tabs in the tabset. Change color of a conditionally rendered tab

Conditional rendering - so cool.  We have many tabs in a tab set.  Some tabs are rare so we can hide them, conditionally.  However, we don’t want them to be unnoticed when they happen to show up.  Is there anyway to have the color of this tab be different from the rest? Blink? Spin? Flip? Bounce? Rotate?  Skuiddittle? Honestly, a different tab color would be enough.

Popups: JS initialization w/ Page Include

I am running into a similar situation, in which I am trying to load a popup and I need to run javascript to hide / initialize certain items on the page.  However, the popup is using a page include.  The page Include by itself works great as I have an in-line javascript code that runs and initializes everything.  However, when I put it inside the popup and call it from another location it doesn’t work, its as if the initialization code is not running.I’ve tried the action framework as well, by calling an initialization script after the pop-up action.  I get the same results.Any ideas? Custom UPLOAD" button"

I have a table with an attachments field.  It works fine, but I don’t want the large green button appearing in the table.  I have set up a second field that contains a small button linked to the attachment.  My issue is that I’m not certain how to upload the attachments without the original field.  Is this possible?

One Child Record Per Parent Record

I’m trying to create a table that is about child records, but I only want to display one child record per parent record by the most recent date. I’ve tried to figure out how to do this through conditions and subqueries, but I haven’t figured it out yet. Anyone have a suggestion on how to display multiple child records, but only one per parent record?

Order of Execution For Record Create from Table List vs Salesforce UI - Workflow Not Updating

Is the order of execution for creating new records via Skuid table the same as if I created it in UI? I have a Salesforce Workflow that fires a Flow Trigger and updates some Custom Object fields but I get different results if I create the record using Skuid vs. in Salesforce UI.Use case is that I want to take 2 values in the newly created record and perform some calculations on them and update 2 other fields in same record. When using Skuid, those newly created fields keep returning as “blank” BUT if I create same record using Salesforce the correct values are in those fields and workflow updates accordingly??

Multi Currency Org: Can I hide currency code prefix in my tables?

Thanks Rob & Zach,I currently have this working in a test org with multi currency enabled. Just wondering if its possible with a render snippet to hide the currency code prefix? As we have 6 currency columns, in addition to the currency picklist, each one of those is rendering USD or EUR etc, so each column is repeating unnecessary values. We do want to give users the ability to edit the currency in the row, so there isn’t really a need to specify currency on every other field in the row.I recall seeing a post about this a few days ago but have searched high & low and can’t seem to find it now. Maybe I dreamt it. Sometimes I dream about Skuid.Would it be possible to hide the 3-letter currency prefix? Multi Currency with Skuid in a Managed Package

Just wondering if anyone out there has gone through the process of deploying Skuid in a managed package AND offering optional Multi-Currency support in that package?We have a few customers (not all) requesting Multi-Currency, and we will of course need to include dynamic apex into our triggers and classes to allow for this, but how do we also do the same for Skuid pages?If we include the currency field in a Skuid page, will it be automatically dropped for orgs which don’t have multi-currency enabled, or will the page throw an error on load?

How can you add text labels to custom editor buttons?

I recently completed the “Table Component: Custom Field Renderers” tutorial and it worked as expected. We have successfully created a custom editor for a picklist field in a table element. However, we weren’t happy with the ui-silk icons used the example so we added the font-awesome css as an external resource and are now using the font-awesome icons in place of the the silk icons. Taking it a step further, we would now like to add text labels to the icons. However, our javascript skills are rather limited and we are at a dead end. Using the same example from the tutorial, how can you add text labels to the icons created for the custom editor? Is it possible to use custom fonts in Skuid?

We recently purchased some custom web fonts that are being served by typography.com. However, part of the instructions from typography.com include adding a uniquely licensed css link to the head of the page that we’ll be using the font. Since we don’t have access to the tag in Skuid, is there another way that this could be accomplished? Thanks in advance for your response!

Conditional Rendering vs Page Assignements

I have a custom visualforce tab called billing that loads a Skuid page. We have created some cool ways to submit billing for different codes through this page. However, I don’t want users with profiles of “Director” to be able to see the tab called “Behaviorist Billing” and I don’t want users with profiles of “Behaviorist” to see the “Director Billing” tab. My first approach was going to be to use page assignments to create different pages for Director profiles and a different page for profiles with Behaviorist profiles. My understanding is page assignments work for object tabs but not for custom visualforce tabs. Correct me if I am wrong. So my next thought was I could conditionally render the tab so only the right tab shows up based on the user profile of the user viewing the page. So I created a model called User, added the id field, the profile id, and profile name fields. I then added a condition. id = to user info of user viewing this page. I then go to the “Behaviorist Billing”

Use apex to package and unpackage pages in a module?

I’m working on trying to better automated some of the steps in our deployment process, and am wondering if there’s a way to run the package & unpackage pages features (where the pages are stored/pulled from a static resource) from apex. I’m using the metadata API to pull down our changes from our dev sandbox & push them to our QA sandbox, but right now, I have to go into the dev sandbox, package the pages, then remember to unpackage them once the deployment is done in the QA sandbox.I think I have a way to execute anonymous apex with the metadata API - does Skuid currently give us a way to execute these 2 functions in apex?

Associating an Image in a folder with an object with a dropdown or popup.

I have a list of images (icons) in a document folder.  (on Salesforce)I have a custom object that I would like users to be able to select one of the Icons and associate with an entry.Users can add an icon at creation, and modify on edit.  The basic object create/edit page exists already, I do not know how to populate a list from another table as a dropdown for the user to select from (and save as a string which is the URL of the image)I can do this in visual force pages and js, but I’m very new to skuid.  What is the best way to do this? any examples/tutorials would be appreciated.

Picklist Value Limit?

Is there a limit to the amount of values that can be in a picklist on the Field Editor? I have a picklist showing the names of records and I am seeing a list of 50 out of a possible 56 records.    (I have confirmed that this is not an issue with model conditions.)If there is a limit, can I increase?
