Create new List in Sharepoint and Create a new Workflow, but appear this messasge for first approval
you need edit rights to the task item to respond
I change the permission on the list for contributor, Contribute - Can view, add, update, and delete list items and documents.
But the error continues
For lazy approval no problems

The Task Item resides in its own list “Workflow Tasks”
Apart from assigning permission in the “New List”, you also need to assign permission to this “Workflow Tasks” list. all Task Approvers need edit rights to respond to Task Assignments
