Is there a feature on the roadmap (e.g., under Workflow settings > Workflow publishing) that would allow specific roles or groups to have permission to delete a workflow?

Background: In our current support structure, workflow stewardship falls on citizen developers and workflow owners within the business. They proactively manage day-to-day troubleshooting, receive failure alerts, and escalate issues to IT if necessary. Currently, users with workflow owner permissions can delete workflows. However, until Nintex introduces a proper backup and restore feature, we cannot fully hand over management of our 400+ workflows to the business side. The risk of accidental deletion or, in the worst-case scenario, a compromised account resulting in malicious deletion, makes it critical to restrict the ability to delete workflows to certain user groups. This feature would be extremely beneficial.
Any idea from best practise point-of-view is welcome :)

Following. Would love to know myself. At minimum, a restore deleted workflows feature.

We haven't ran into this issue yet, but we have very strictgovernance around users in NAC. What role do you assign your Citizen Developers ("CD")?

We only assign designer role to users and have a NAC CD "Support" Form they complete through My Nintex for requests like publishing to prod amongst other activities we have restricted also like creation of connections, groups, users, permissions on data sources etc..

Only select individuals in a custom group we created are authorized to publish to prod after they pass an aptitude test we created. Everyone else has to request a production review through our CD support form. We put the responsibility on them so if they delete it that's on them. They can only see their workflows so it works for us... They can't accidentally delete someone else's workflows so we don't worry too much about it.

Note: We also host an onboarding session/workshop 2x a month for new users that sign up as a citizen developer for nintex... attendance is mandatory to obtain a designer role so all that is covered in our internal guidelines that are also discussed in this session. We had to do this as our new user inquiries started growing substantially last year. We are at about 150 designers now and started with roughly 10 or so.

Hi Brandiwoodson,

We have same setup, so workflow publishing has to be requested.

Our citizen devs are process governance at the same time in some department, they are key business contacts, and knowing how to build workflows as well.

Just locate this in idea.nintex.com, please help to vote it up
