Apart from Nintex DocGen for Salesforce, are there other options to create PDF documents within Nintex Automation Cloud?

Hi @AdrianGaribdass01

Nintex Automation Cloud has the Generate Document action based on the Nintex DocGen engine.

Is this the same as the Nintex DocGen for Salesforce?  Our account has a document limit and I was looking for an alternative to crete PDF documents.

Hi @AdrianGaribdass01,

The document generation action is different from the Salesforce action, but they are both subscription-based. You may have to check with your account manager, but I think the same subscription can be used for both actions. There are other options, such as CloudMersive, but you will find that any secure convert-to-PDF service is subscription-based. If you find a free option, you need to ask yourself how secure it is.

Hosting the converter and calling the API from Nintex Automation Cloud is the safest free option. I have seen convert-to-PDF apps on GitHub that would save you from having to write it yourself, but it comes back to how secure they are.  Are they phoning home with your PDF?
