Issue

You are unable to restart your K2 service. When you check the HostServer logs, the following error shows up:

 

0 System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): The transaction log for database 'K2' is full due to 'LOG_BACKUP'.

 

Resolution

This error indicates that the transaction log for your K2 database is full. Please note that this issue is not specific to the K2 database, and can occur on other databases as well. This is a database maintenance issue rather than a K2 issue. One of the solution is to backup the K2 database transaction logs.
