Notifications from email events are failing to send out

Issue

When K2 tries to sending emails using an email event from a workflow, it is returning the following error:

Error Code

In the HostServer logs, you should also see the same error:

 

"Error","General","28083","ExtenderExecuteError","ProcessInstance.HandleException","28083 ServerEvent: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

Server stack trace:

Troubleshooting Steps

This could be caused by an incorrect Mail Server specified on the 'Mail Server' variable in your Default Environment.

 

Please update the 'Mail Server' variable value to the correct/working Exchange/SMTP server in the following areas on K2 Management then re-try the workflow instance/s in error: 

- Default Environment

- String Table
