UPDATE: This article has been updated as of March 2024.
Issue
RPA Bot no longer requires Microsoft .NET Core Runtime to run properly. (Please see the update below in the Resolution section).
Resolution
If you have a security concern regarding version 2.2.7, you can resolve this risk by following the steps below:
Update (3/2024)
Our Development Team has completed testing on version 17.15 of the Bot and version 2.14 of RPA Central. RPA Bot and RPAC no longer need .NET Core Runtime installed. The installer still installs .NET Core Runtime for v17.15 but is removed for the next version we release. You can uninstall all versions of .NET Core Runtime, and RPA LE will run normally.
NOTE: If you use an older version of the Bot and RPA Central, we suggest upgrading to v17.15 and v2.14, respectively.

NOTE: If you cannot upgrade, you can remove the .NET Core Runtime and test for normal functionality.
If you encounter issues, then you will need to install .NET Core Runtime 2.2.8 again using this link, which is a direct download link to .Net Runtime 2.2.8 for Windows x86:
