ISSUE
When running workflows in SharePoint, the workflows are not processing and the following message is displayed on the workflow status page:Due to heavy load, the latest workflow operation has been queued. It will attempt to resume at a later time

RESOLUTION
- Identify the largest workflow history lists within the SharePoint environment.
- Using the steps outlined on the Nintex Community post for purging large history lists, bring the lists back within recommended limits. Microsoft recommends keeping these lists under 10,000 items
