Question
What is the Task Processing job and why can't I see it under Job definitions in Central Administration
Answer
Name of taskprocessing job is “Nintex Workflow Task Process”, and it’s not installed by default as "Nintex Workflow Scheduler".
Only option to install this job is through NWAdmin InstallTimerJob command.
Job only targets version prior to NW2010, its present in NW2016 for backward compatibility purpose only; and is not needed for any actual task processing in NW2016
Earlier version of the SharePoint 2007 had issues in task approval in SharePoint task list, so this job was used to update the task outcomes periodically and sync it with Nintex task outcomes.
