Issue
After exporting a Nintex Workflow from 2013 and then importing it into Nintex 2016 environment, a Task action with Nintex Task Form may have the following error during the Task preview:
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at Nintex.Forms.SharePoint.ApplicationPages.PreviewNintexForm.GetDefaultValuesForWorkflowVariables()

Resolution
- In the Nintex Workflow Designer 2016 > Ribbon bar >Click the dropdown menu on Workflow Setting > Variables
- For each variable with the data type "Single Line Text", click modify and then save without making any changes
Additional Information
By opening and saving the Variable "Single Line Text", the workflow XML will be updated for compatibility with Nintex Workflows 2016.
