Issue Description

When a user executes a SmartObject method and does not have rights to the database, no error message displays. An error message is expected to indicate that the user does not have rights to the database.

Resolution

  1. Ensure you have K2 4.7 installed.
  2. Download and Install the K2 4.7 March 2018 Cumulative Update from K2 Partner and Customer Portal.
  3. Get the K2 4.7 March 2018 Cumulative Update FP2 from Regional Support.
  4. Install the K2 4.7 March 2018 Cumulative Update FP2 to apply the fix.
  5. The correct error message will now display if a user does not have rights to a database. The error message will be:

Cannot open database {0} requested by the login. The login failed.

Login failed for user {1}
