Issue Description

When creating a Document Set with a long name in a folder in SharePoint, an error occurs and the Document Set is not created.

Error Message

The error message states: “The ‘parameters.LeafName’ argument is invalid.”

Cause

The Create Document Set feature combined the Document Set name with the Folder name, which then exceeded the allowed 128 characters limit and caused the error.

Resolution

  1. Ensure you have K2 4.7 installed.
  2. Download and Install the K2 4.7 March 2018 Cumulative Update from K2 Partner and Customer Portal.
  3. Get the K2 4.7 March 2018 Cumulative Update FP1 from Regional Support.
  4. Install the K2 4.7 March 2018 Cumulative Update FP1 to apply the fix.
