Approve a task by an other user

Jump to solution

Hi,

it is possible to approve a flexi task for an other user?

I'm trying to create a Webservice which calls the nintex-webservices to approve/reject flexi-tasks.

I'm allready able to approve a flexi-task with the help of the nintex-webservices but my problem is that the Webservice which calls the nintex-workflows runs with a serviceuser. In this case the serviceuser tries to edit a task for an other user.

The response-message of the nintex-webserice-method (the method i mean is "ProcessFlexiTaskResponse2") is in this case "Invalid user".

Someone an idea?

Thanks!

I know that when I'm completing a workflow task, only the person assigned to the task can complete it.  But you can delegate a task to another person for them to complete.  Have you tried using the Nintex delegate task action first to delegate it to the service user, then approving it?

Thanks Brendan!

This trick did it! The service user is able to delegate the task to himself and to approve it after the delegation.
