  • Repeating section limitations
    • Binding a repeating section to a column and displaying on a Task Form

This is no longer a limitation.

Here are some requests for enhancements that our users have sent in recently:

Ability to display display data fields like a table, especially to condense to fit more fields together, as there a max limit of 6 controls per row.

Spell check in the text controls (the form even blocks the browser's built-in spell check).

"Dark mode" - the ability for the user to toggle between light and dark modes.  I even tried to build a form with customized dark colors, but it was not feasible as it caused another problem, for read-only text fields it displayed dark gray text on a dark background and I could not customize it otherwise.

When trying to fit more controls into the row, it sometimes squeezes the dropdown too small to read the selected text value.  Fix to display at least a certain minimum amount of text.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. Can I ask you share any ideas or suggestions to the Nintex User Voice community so others can see and vote on your ideas?

Okay, I added these to the suggestions.

Here are the links to them in case anyone wants to vote on them.

"designer shrinks dropdown control too small to read"
(Added as suggestion)

"dark theme in new responsive designer"
(Added as suggestion)

Spell check was already a suggestion, so I added a vote for it.

There were 2 already for tables, so I voted & commented.
"Table in multiline text control"

https://nintex.uservoice.com/forums/218293-4-nintex-forms-for-office-365/suggestions/19600105-table-...

"please allow user to insert table from nintex form."

And I liked this one for tablet mode,

"Widescreen mode for bigger screens (most tablets and laptops/pc's)"

Do we have any updates on this glitch? Has it been resolved yet? If so, how can it be fixed?

Oh great, another rule. I am having an issue with a form, and the response I get from support is I have too many rules.

What issue do you have with the form, also how many rules do you have.  We have forms with tons of rules but no issues.

Re: Current limitations

I have two issues submitted that are related to form latency. When they reviewed the form, they told me it was very large and had many rules. Currently, there are 247 rules, with about 25 of them disabled. So Nintex states,

" I will like to point out that this specific SharePoint List is extremely large and the Nintex Forms as well. To start, you have more List Lockups than normal. This will cause problems with the threshold."

Then they go on to list out all the columns and send me a URL related to Microsoft list view threshold error. I am not sure what the list view has to do with a slow, very slow, loading form. the list view loads fine, the forms, without Nintex, load fine.

I'd be curious if you could use content types on the list to spit up the forms for the use case you need at that time. Then that could reduce the load time overall and help with performance as each form would have the columns it needs. Or, maybe its a case where the lists needs to be split up into many lists.

We have one form with ~120+ lookup columns that was working fine, however these are lookups built within the Nintex designer and not within the SharePoint list. We did hit a limit once but we are re-thinking it with using content types on the list.

Re: New Resposonsive (Office365) - Current limitations

Hi @EuanGamble

Is there a way to see what might be coming next to either New Responsive or NWC forms for this request or any updates even (like a roadmap).  Looking to see if either form will handle conditions in lookup's + be able to handle multiple choice lookup controls.  Seems each form has something they both could benefit from and happy to go into more details on this.  We are trying to stay with new designers vs legacy classic or even the responsive set up.

Thanks, Zach
