Issue
The following error message appears when trying to execute a SmartObject method: "RfcOpenConnection failed(RFC_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE): LOCATION CPIC (TCP/IP) on local host with Unicode ERROR max no of 200 conversations exceeded."
Symptoms
After upgrading to K2 Connect 5.0, the SmartObjects calls starts showing the following error intermittently:
"RfcOpenConnection failed(RFC_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE): LOCATION CPIC (TCP/IP) on local host with Unicode ERROR max no of 200 conversations exceeded."
Troubleshooting Steps
Please follow the steps below in order to resolve this:
• Open the SmartObject Service Tester.exe (SmartObject Tester Tool)
• Locate the required service instance
• Right-click and Edit Service Instance
• Change usecache from false to true.
